英语教师成长手记（十七）

        在上篇英语教师成长手记中，我们提到作为英语老师要多阅读一些关于教育或英语的书籍，相信您现在已经开始行动了，不过请坚持，关于法国人的那个小故事，你们阅读了吗？看完是不是一笑而过了呢？请您试着用英语把它讲述给周围的人，与人快乐，手有余香！     

        今天继续给大家分享一个英语小故事，“一只狗和他的影子”，这个故事非常有趣并且告诉我们“什么都想要，却失去了你所拥有的”。

                                                   A dog and his shadow

     It happened that a dog had got a piece of meat and was carrying it home in his mouth to eat it in peace. Now on his way home he met a river. As he looked down and saw his own shadow reflected in the water. 

He said to himself: “That dog has some meat, too. If I could get it away from him. I would eat well tonight.”

With this thought, he made a snap at the shadow in the water, but as he opened his mouth the piece of meat fell out, dropped into the water and was never seen more.

By wanting to have everything, he has lost everything he had!
